A third year PhD candidate at The Queensland University of Technology.
My current research interest is nonlinear control of multi-agent systems.

Work Experience

Sessional Academic (Tutor)

Queensland University of Technology

07/2019 - Ongoing

I tutor and develop material for the following units:

  • Control and Dynamic Systems
  • Modern Control
  • Autonomous Systems
  • Aircraft Systems and Flight

Lecturer

PUCRS

02/2018 - 12/2018

For two semesters I lectured and coordinated six units at PUCRS, Brazil. The units taught were:

  • Control Systems Laboratory
  • Robot Programming
  • Rapid Prototyping
  • Industrial Automation
  • Discrete-event System Simulation
  • Integrated Manufacturing Systems

Research Assistant

Labima - PUCRS

08/2015 - 01/2018

Research focused in automatic shadow removal from aerial images for the United States Air Force Grant regarding the shadow prob-lem. In Jan 2016, visited The University of New Mexico and Transparent Sky.

  • Development of near-real time automatic shadow detection software powered by GPU processing, using OpenCV and CUDA tech-nologies.
  • Teaching Assistantship in undergraduate Signals and Systems course.

    Education

    PhD in Electrical Engineering

    Queensland University of Technology, Australia

    02/2019 - Ongoing

Current research involves disturbance string stable control design of multi-agent systems.

    08/2015 - 08/2017

The research conducted during my masters focused in image processing and photogrammetry. It was partially funded by CAPES and the AFOSR.

The thesis is entitled "Real-time Shadow Detection and Removal in Aerial Motion Imagery Application".

    GPA: 8.7/10

    Academic Exchange

    University of Birmingham, UK

    09/2012 - 09/2013

    Sandwich Program in Electrical Engineering.

One year program including taking several courses and 3 months placement at the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education.

    03/2009 - 07/2015

5-years engineering degree focused in Industrial Automation and Control Theory. Final year project was "Project and Control of a Rotary Dual-Stage Actuator" inspired by the Dual-Stage Actuators of recent HDDs.
